The Swiftel Center’s annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign kicks off today and goes through the month of October. T-shirts will be available for purchase starting at 9:00 a.m. All proceeds from the Tough Enough campaign are donated to Brookings Health System Foundation which means 100% of campaign efforts supports our local community right here in Brookings.
Adult sizes XS through XL are $12.00 ($14.00 for 2XL or 3XL).
The 2021 design features white striping with the phrase “STRONGER THAN CANCER” with the “STRONGER” in pink brush stroke and the “THAN CANCER” in white outline, mimicking a neon sign. The shirt is the signature soft style in dark, heathered black.

THINK PINK CHALLENGE
This October, the Swiftel Center is once again challenging the Brookings community to think pink. Businesses are asked to designate one day a week as “Think Pink” day on which employees can wear the Tough Enough to Wear Pink t-shirts.
DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS
Funds raised by the 2021 Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign will be used locally to promote local cancer screening benefits, such as regular mammograms. Funds will also help provide information about the importance of breast self-examination and promote resources that are available for patients at Avera Medical Group Brookings and Brookings Health System.
More than $60,880 has been raised to-date through the annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign. The Swiftel Center works with Brookings Health System Foundation to effectively distribute funds. Thanks to community support, the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign has assisted many cancer patients in Brookings County with 100% of proceeds staying local.
