Brookings, S.D. (6/5/2020) – The Swiftel Center will fully re-open the facility to the public on Monday, June 8. In preparation, the administrative team has worked closely with the City of Brookings leadership and VenuWorks leadership as well as public health professionals at Brookings Health System to create a comprehensive health safety program based on the most effective health safety practices currently available.
The Swiftel Center actively strives to maintain a facility that provides a diverse, exceptional and positive guest experience including providing a clear and transparent safety program to our guests. It is crucial for all Swiftel Center services to meet and exceed health guidelines, continuing to provide “MIDWEST HOSPITALITY AT ITS BEST” and ensuring guests can come back with confidence.
SAFE & HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT
In response to COVID-19, the Swiftel Center is taking every reasonable precaution to promote a safe and healthy environment. The Swiftel Center is thoughtfully and conscientiously following the recommended guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As a City of Brookings owned facility, the Swiftel Center is also thoroughly following the guidelines of the City of Brookings ordinances.
To prepare for re-opening, the staff has conducted thorough cleaning of all facility rooms and spaces, additional deep cleaning in all front-of-house and back-of-house areas, and detailed sanitizing of all equipment as well as touch-points. In addition to standard Swiftel Center cleaning practices, staff are frequently monitoring, cleaning and disinfecting all touch-points to provide a clean and comfortable environment. Touchless hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the facility.
Upon re-opening, guests will be required to follow the posted signage guidelines and are encouraged to follow the recommended social distancing guidelines. The Swiftel Center encourages all guests to be on alert for symptoms and monitor their individual health. Watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19. Guests experiencing any of these symptoms are encouraged to stay home and seek recommended care.
The health, welfare and safety of our guests as well as our clients and employees has always been and continues to be our highest priority. Our focus is to ensure we meet our guests, clients and employees’ needs while doing our part to keep our community safe. TICKET OFFICE INFORMATION
Starting Monday, June 8, the Swiftel Center ticket office will resume operation under normal hours. In-person ticket refunds and purchases may now be administered at the Swiftel Center ticket office. Guests are encouraged to continue to purchase tickets online – at Ticketmaster.com – as often as possible to limit contact.
For all tickets purchased online through Ticketmaster.com, here are the guidelines directly from Ticketmaster:
- For future events that are still scheduled, you’re all set. There’s nothing you need to do, and if anything changes, we will contact you with updates.
- If your event was canceled, there’s also nothing you need to do. It’s Ticketmaster’s standing policy to automatically refund the full cost of the ticket and fees to the original purchaser’s credit card. For any canceled events: Due to the unprecedented volume of cancelations, please note that you should expect to receive your refund in as soon as 30 days.
- If your event was rescheduled, we are working with the event organizer to identify new dates, and we will contact you as soon as we have confirmation. At that time, if you have any questions or concerns, you’ll be able to reach out to Ticketmaster Fan Support for assistance. If your event’s organizer is offering refunds for a rescheduled event, this option will be visible under the event in your Ticketmaster account.
