Brookings, S.D. (5/7/2020) – As a City of Brookings owned facility, following the direction of the City of Brookings, the Swiftel Center facility will remain closed to the public. The City of Brookings staff is currently working on a plan which will incrementally re-open some City of Brookings facilities, events, and departments. Re-opening plans will include safety measures that follow CDC guidelines and requirements. The City of Brookings noted that each City department or facility may implement different reopening measures based on the nature of the operations each performs.
During this time, the Swiftel Center administrative team will continue to work; however, the facility and offices will remain closed to the public. Our guests, clients and employees are encouraged to coordinate with the full-time Swiftel Center management team via telephone and online channels. The Swiftel Center website (www.swiftelcenter.com/covid19
) will have the most up-to-date information regarding all event-related updates and status changes.
As a fan-first facility, we sincerely appreciate your support of the Swiftel Center and your understanding during this time. The Swiftel Center Ticket Office will remain closed. In-person ticket refunds will be given once the facility re-opens. For all tickets purchased online through Ticketmaster.com, here are the guidelines directly from Ticketmaster:
- For future events that are still scheduled, you’re all set. There’s nothing you need to do, and if anything changes, we will contact you with updates.
- If your event was canceled, there’s also nothing you need to do. It’s Ticketmaster’s standing policy to automatically refund the full cost of the ticket and fees to the original purchaser’s credit card. For any canceled events: Due to the unprecedented volume of cancelations, please note that you should expect to receive your refund in as soon as 30 days.
- If your event was rescheduled, we are working with the event organizer to identify new dates, and we will contact you as soon as we have confirmation. At that time, if you have any questions or concerns, you’ll be able to reach out to Ticketmaster Fan Support for assistance. If your event’s organizer is offering refunds for a rescheduled event, this option will be visible under the event in your Ticketmaster account.
